Rachelle Whitehawk was raised by a strong Indigenous woman who taught her to introduce herself as Rachelle Whitehawk, although she is now married and goes by Rachelle Christensen. She is a proud member of Cote First nation and a Mental Health and Wellness student at SIIT.

On a learning journey, walking a path to reclaim cultural teachings not only for herself, but alongside her children. She is growing into her role as a helper, especially for young people, supporting them in building self-compassion, self-love, and connection to who they are.

Through Indigenous relations studies, trauma-informed practice, and learning from Elders, she carries teachings forward with respect, authenticity, and a commitment to breaking cycles of disconnection for future generations.
